Is there any science for this?

There are a lot of people who believe there is no research about hypnosis. But there is! For example, Dr. David Spiegel, a Professor and Associate Chair of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Director of the Center on Stress and Health, and Medical Director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine has more than 40 years of clinical and research experience studying stress and health, pain control, psychoneuroendocrinology, sleep and hypnosis.

In addition, the HeartMath techniques I start every session with are based on over 30 years of research. Since 1991, the HeartMath Institute has researched and developed reliable, scientifically validated tools and technologies that help people improve their emotional balance, health and performance. HMI also has conducted intriguing research on how the heart's magnetic field radiates outside the body and can affect other people. There are over 300 publications on their website regarding HMI’s research and independent research studies.

Research on how hypnosis works is ongoing. A 2022 systematic review aimed to critically evaluate and discuss functional changes in brain activity using hypnosis.

In addition to this - here are some other research articles that may be of interest. This is not an exhaustive list and new studies are coming out all the time. However, these are worth sharing:

Every day new studies are coming out showing the effects of our mind, mindset, focus and intention on our physical, mental and emotional health and well-being. It is an exciting time for sure!
